After seeing my work at a fair in Sheffield, I was approached to create a bespoke ring for a customer. After a video call discussing what her thoughts were and drawing ideas from previous makes of mine, I sketched up a number of designs for her to choose from. It turned out that she liked elements from a couple of different designs, which we were then able to combine to create the final plan. The colours of the paintwork were matched to another ring she had spotted on my website, and I began making. Although the ring looked lovely with a silver finish, we decided on oxidising the metal and brushing it back slightly, to make the detail of the leaves and granules really stand out.
