Studio 10 Silent Auction

Following its success during our 2019 Open Studios, we’re bringing back our silent auction for 2020 – virtually this time around!

‘Studio 10’ is made up of 7 jewellers & silversmiths who all passed through studio 10 at Yorkshire Artspace at some point in their career.

We’ll each be donating a piece of jewellery or silverware to the auction, which will go live between Friday 20th – Sunday 22nd November on both our Instagram account – @studio10sheffield and right here.

You’ll be able to place bids via direct message on Instagram, or from here via emailing info@hollysuzannaclifford.com.

Studio 10

Meet the collective

Josephine Gomersall has been in Studio 10 for 3 years after coming straight from completing her Masters Design degree in Jewellery & Metalwork at Sheffield Hallam.  Her work is inspired by British wild flowers, grasses, seedpods and weeds from the wayside, garden, field and woodland.

Daisy of Daisy Lee Jewels creates beautifully delicate jewellery pieces inspired by nature. She enjoys working predominately with silver, using gold plate and oxidization to add colour and contrast in a way which highlights the floral details within the jewellery.

Francisca Onumah graduated with an MA in Jewellery, Silversmithing and related products in 2015 from the Birmingham School of Jewellery. She’s inspired by the Japanese theory of Wabi-Sabi, the acceptance of imperfections in the making process.

Helena Russell graduted from Sheffield Hallam in 2018 after completing her BA & MA in the city. Helena’s work involves a mix of materials including, a combination of sterling silver and base metals such as copper and brass which go through a process of patination to create blue, green and purple colours on the surface of the metal.

Holly runs two creative businesses – ‘Holly Suzanna Clifford’ and ‘Contour Map Collection‘. The first is where she makes a range of vibrant, playful eco-resin art jewellery and the latter is a bespoke service in which she hand cuts contour maps in silver to create personalised jewellery & copper to create dramatic wall art.

Georgia (Georgia Rose Jewellery) graduated from Sheffield Hallam in 2019 and moved into Studio 10 in October of the same year. She uses chain to explore a wide range of scale, materials and form.

Gonzo Jewellery was founded by Abigail Asher in 2018. After graduating from the Manchester School of Art in 2017, Abigail went on to complete a postgraduate residency at Bishopsland Educational Trust. Taking inspiration from an eclectic mix of British heritage and her industrial surroundings she creates visually strong yet classic pieces, working with hand made alloys and recycled precious metals.
